Novella.

Novella has similar parts of short story and novel . This kind of literature is written in prose. Novellas can range from fantastic to realistic. For example, Animal Farm by George Orwell. On this type of literature, movies can be shot.

Many novellas are studied in schools by students. Children are introduced to the characters in the books.

Novella appeared in Renaissance in Europe. So it developed in XIX century as literary genre. In that time, many famous novellas were written.

Today, this kind of literature is still written. In newspaper and magazines you can find  novellas about modern life.

In some books there are bright and colorful pictures.
