Plutus (Πλοῦτος) is a god of wealth in Greek myths and legends. His parents were Hades (ᾍδης) and Persephone (Περσεφόνη). Or Iasion (Ἰασίων) and Demeter (Δημήτηρ,).
Plutus has his own symbol, cornucopia, also known as horn of plenty. He has cornucopia with grain and wheat.
Plutus has relationships with many gods and goddesses, such as: Persephone, Demeter, Eirene, Tyche (Τύχη,), Zeus, Asclepius, and etc.
Demeter gifted wheat in Harmonia's wedding. If Persephone and Demeter love somebody, then Plutus gave them riches.
Plutus was blinded by Zeus. But Asclepius returned eyes to the god.
There are different paintings and statues about this god. Painters and sculptors have depicted Plutus at different ages.
Also, writers mentioned him in their books. In Praise of Folly by Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam. In Canto VII of Dante's Inferno. Faust by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
