Great people: Mark Twain.

Samuel Langhorne Clemens was born on November 30, 1835 in Florida, Missouri. He was the sixth of seven children to John and Jane Clemens.

In 1860s Samuel Clemens traveled around his country and the world. Also, he wrote articles in newspapers.

Several years later Samuel Clemens took pseudonym Mark Twain and wrote famous books. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Prince and the Pauper, Eve's Diary, and etc. Many of them became a classical literature. Students study Twain's novels.

In 1870 the writer married Olivia Langdon.

Mark Twain died on April 21, 1910 in Redding, Connecticut.
