Heliades (Ἡλιάδες), or Phaethontides (Φαεθοντίδες) were the daughters of Helios and Clymene.
In Greek myths and legends there were seven Heliades: Merope, Aegle, Lampetia, Phoebe, Aetherie, and Dioxippe. Also, they had a brother named Phaёthon (Φαέθων) (Phaéthōn).
He died when Phaёthon drove his father Helios's chariot across the sky.
The Heliades mourned their brother Phaёthon. Later, they turned into poplar trees, and their tears amber.
