Great people: Margaret Mitchell.

Margaret Munnerlyn Mitchell was born on November 8, 1900, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her parents were Eugene Muse Mitchell and Mary Isabelle Stephens. Also, Margaret had older brother Stephen.

Since early childhood she liked writing. Margaret Mitchell knew a lot of things about Civil War.

In 1936 Mitchell wrote a novel Gone with the Wind. This book and characters became popular. Three years later a popular movie adaptation of it appeared.

Writer was married two times. Margaret Mitchell died on August 11, 1949. She was hit by a car.
