The Odyssey (Ὀδύσσεια) (Odýsseia) is a poem written by Homer. Odysseus, King of Ithaca, is the main character of the work.

He returned home after the Trojan War. Odysseus's family didn't recognize him immediately.

Telemachus was searching for his father. 

Odysseus, Penelope, Telemachus, Eurycleia, Circe, Calypso, Laertes were main characters of Odyssey.

They met gods and goddesses. Also, there were creatures and adventures.

Once upon a time there was Achmet. His father died. After this events, the young man set off for India by ship.

Suddenly, a storm broke out, and the ship sank, taking the people down with it.

Achmet escaped on a mysterious ship. There, the dead came back to life every night. It was a magical curse.

At the end of the fairy tale, the young man managed to lift the spell from the ship using magic and returned home wealthy.

Tales from childhood: Physical education in my life.

Hello, dear readers! This is Mr. H. How are you?

Today I want to tell you about my passion. Everyone in my family loves sports! I played on a sports team when I was a child. I enjoyed it, and now my family enjoys it, too.

My son and I are actively involved in sports. I give him various exercises to do, and he carries them out. This started back when my son was little; that was when I became his coach. I'm strict, but fair.

At first, we used to go running together every morning. Later, my son started doing fitness workouts in the park.

By the time he was in middle school, my athlete was already competing in various events. He's my champion! But for us, it's the participation that matters most.

Seven against Thebes.

The Seven against Thebes (Ἑπτὰ ἐπὶ Θήβας) (Hepta epi Thēbas) were seven characters in Greek mythology. They were at war in Thebes.

Eteocles (Ἐτεοκλῆς) (Eteoklês) and Polynices (Πολυνείκης) (Polyneíkes) were sons of Oedipus. The conflict started with them.

Polynices, Tydeus (Τυδεύς) (Tūdeus), Amphiaraus, Capaneus, Parthenopaeus, Hippomedon, and Eteoclus were the seven against Thebes.

They wanted to overthrow Eteocles and restore his brother Polynices to the throne. Almost all of them perished.

In the legends, Polynices took the necklace of Harmonia.

Also, there is a tragedy (play) of the same name written by Aeschylus.

Words.

Words vary greatly. They can sound different and have many meanings. There are good words and bad words. That is why it's important to use phrases appropriately and choose one's words carefully.

Sometimes, words can deeply wound a person. Also, it's need to speak in a quiet and calm tone.

Hello, dear children and adults! This is Mrs. Anne speaking. I'm an elderly woman, the mother of an adult daughter, and the grandmother of a young grandson.

I know about the disease that the lady in red suffers from. I feel so sorry for her! I don't understand those who stigmatize people who have been infected with this illness. The worst thing is that this is an incurable disease!

Semele.

Semele (Σεμέλη) (Semélē), or Thyone (Θυώνη) (Thyṓnē) was a princess of Thebes in Greek mythology.

Her parents were Cadmus (Κάδμος) (Kádmos) and Harmonia. Autonoё (Αὐτονόη), Agave, Ino, and Polydorus (Πολύδωρος) were Semele's siblings.

She was the mother of the god Dionysus (Διόνυσος) (Diónysos).

Semele met other gods and goddesses, such as: Zeus and Hera (Ἥρα) (Hḗrā).

Also, she was saved from Hades (ᾍδης) (Háidēs) by her son Dionysus.

Good evening, dear people! What's new in your life? How did you spend your time?

It's me, Mr. H. About two months ago I wanted to go to the south with my family. There are beaches with the sea, warm sun, all the people around are happy and enjoying their vacation.

"I hope we can go to a warm city this year and relax there," I told my wife.

But then it turned out we couldn't go to the seaside this year. So my wife, son, and I decided to go to countryside. That's a fun way to relax, too. We can go into the woods, watch animals, and eat vegetables...

"We can go on vacation somewhere else." I said.

"Great idea!" my son said happily.

"Yes, I like it," my wife agreed.

Our summer vacation in the village was actually very interesting. My son and I went fishing, and my wife went to the market and bought a lot of necessary things. Also, we met new people.

Hello, everyone! This is Beth speaking. How are you?

My brother Johnny, our friend Sophie, and I are invited to a big city for the opening of an event. We will be there the whole evening and even longer.

"We will be able to meet local citizens!" my brother Johnny said.

There we actually met people who were born in the center of a big city and have lived there their entire lives.

"I live here and went to school here. Now I'm studying at a prestigious university." the young girl bragged to me.

"The festival is very beautiful, I liked the dancing!" Sophie said.

There was a huge crown of people there, and I couldn't see all the stars of the concert.

Perhaps a big city offers more opportunities, but I'm not sure...

Erebus (Ἔρεβος) (Érebos) personified darkness in Greek mythology and his name means 'darkness' or 'gloom'.

His father was Chaos (χάος) (kháos). Also, Erebus had siblings: Eros and Nyx.

Eris, Hypnos, Nemesis (Νέμεσις) (Némesis), Hemera (Ἡμέρα) (Hēmérā), Thanatos (Θάνατος) (Thánatos), Charon (Χάρων), Hesperides (Ἑσπερίδες), and Phantasos (Φάντασος) were his offspring.

Good evening, boys and girls, men and women. I, the lady in red, speak to you. I want to tell you about my conclusions.

I was eleven years old then. It was just a boring lesson at school. They didn't have time to ask me, and I was preparing yesterday. I was really upset!

Then the break started and I quickly ran home. I felt free. At that moment, I began to wonder if maybe  there would be a change in my life, and the boring lesson would end.

Pan (Πάν) (Pán) was from Arcadia (Ἀρκαδία) (Arkadía) in Greek mythology. He was known as a god of nature, flocks, and shepherds. Pan's parents were: Hermes and Penelope.

Goat and pan flute were his symbols. 

Echo (Ἠχώ) (Ēkhō), Syrinx, and Pitys (Πίτυς) (Pítus) were Pan's consorts. Silenus (Σιληνός) (Sīlēnós), Iynx (Ἴυγξ) (Íynx), and Krotos (Κρότος) were his children.
