Dionysus was a god of grape harvest in Ancient Greece. He was a son of Zeus and Semele.
Nymphs cared for him. When Dionysus grew up he travelled to different places. The god met other gods, too. India and Egypt were countries which he visited.
Dionysus had his own symbols such as: leopard skin, Thyrsus, pantner, and tiger.
Zeus's son married Ariande, Cretan princess. Spouses had several children.
There are many paintings and statues about this god.
