Heracles (Ἡρακλῆς) was a hero in Greek legends. His father was Zeus (Ζεύς,), his mother was Alcmene (Ἀλκμήνη).
Heracles was born in Thebes (Θῆβαι). He performed 12 labors. Heracles met with monsters and creatures. His symbols were weapon club and lion skin.
There are many myths about this hero. When Heracles was a baby, he strangled snakes. Also, he was in the campaign of the Argonauts, freed Prometheus (Προμηθεύς,), and participated in the Trojan War.
Heracles had different relations with other gods and goddesses, such as: Perseus (Περσεύς), Eirene (Εἰρήνη,), Artemis (Ἄρτεμις), Eileithyia (Εἰλείθυια), Eurystheus (Εὐρυσθεύς,), and etc.
Heracles had several wives and children.
After death he lived with gods.
