Great people: Sandro Batticelli.

 Alessandro di Mariano di Vanni Filipepi was an Italian Renaissance painter.

He was born in 1445, in Florence. Batticelli studied painting with Filippo Lippi.


Sandro Batticelli created many famous paintings. The Birth of Venus (1484-1486), Primavera (late 1470s, early 1480s), Adoration of the Magi (1475), Madonna and Child (1465-1470), Madonna and Child with an Angel (1465-1467).



He died on May 17, 1510, in Florence.
