Alan Alexander Milne was an English writer. He was born on January 18, 1882, in London, England.


Winne-the-Pooh was Milne’s famous work. This book was published in 1926.

Alan Milne had wife and child. His son’s name was in the book about the teddy bear.


Alan Alexander Milne died on January 31. 1956, in Hartfield, England.

Literature. Part fifty two.

                                                      Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne.

This book was written in 1926. It consists many short stories about animals. Main character is a teddy bear named Winnie-the-Pooh. He had friends, such as: Piglet (pig), Eeyorl (donkey), Owl, Rabbit, Kanga and her son Roo (kangaroo), and Tigger (tiger). They are different. Owl and Rabbit are live animals, other toys.

Christopher Robin is a young boy who be friends with Winnie-the-Pooh and other animals. Many different adventures happened with characters. They are situated in the forest.

There are many bright illustrations to this children's literature. Famous book was translated to many languages. Cartoons and movies were created about the teddy bear and other animals.
