Tales from childhood: Holiday on the ice rink.

Sophie was prepared for Christmas Eve. Her friends Natalie and Anne said that they will celebrate this holiday on the skating rink. Little Sophie and her friends decided to skate.

"I'm glad for this event!" Sophie said.

"We wish you a good time," her mother and grandmother said.

Weather was nice for skating on the ice rink.

Sophie was in a great mood. It was snowing outside and the sun was shining. On the street, people were very joyful and happy. they were preparing for the holiday.

At the rink, her friends Natalie and Anne were waiting for Sophie.

Sophie had little experience in ice skating, so she often fell on the ice. But Sophie didn't get upset about it, she just tried again and laughed. Natalie and Anne supported Sophie in skating. Her friend Natalie had a little more experience in this deal.

Then the friends felt that they were tired and needed to rest. Good, that very close to selling different food and beverages. The girls smelled delicious tea and fried sausages.

"Let's buy and eat cookies!" Natalie said.

"Cool idea!" Sophie and Anne said.

The teenagers ate cookies.

At home, Sophie was ready for Christmas.

Literature. Part sixty.

"The Little Match Girl" by Hans Christian Andersen.

Once upon a time it was a New Year's Eve. The weather was very cold and freeze.

On the street little girl sold matches. She didn't want to go home. Her clothes were old. The girl looked poor. She felt winter cold. Today she couldn't sell matches.

People prepared for holiday: they cooked fried goose, had Christmas tree, though about night, and etc.

The girl felt smell of Christmas food. She wanted to have some warm... Little girl lit a match. Suddenly she imagined her late grandmother. The girl saw her in the fire of match.

Afterwards, she noticed Christmas tree with toys, big table with holiday dishes included fried goose. But when her match stopped burning she saw cold street.

The girl with matches lit a match again. She enjoyed the holiday with her granny. It was a warm and comfortable place.

Next day became the first day of a New Year. The girl was found on the street. She was dead. She used her box of matches.

Literature. Part nine.

"The Gift of the Magi" by O. Henry

Jim and Della are young spouses. So, on Christmas Eve they decided to make a gift to each other. Couple had less than two dollars. Main family treasures are Della's brown hair and Jim's old watch.

Della sold her hair and bought a platinum chain for husband's watch; Jim sold his watch and bought several combs with tortoise shell for wife's hair.

At the end they embraced and put oof their Christmas gifts. It's sad. But they tried to one another. It's happy.

Winter in the United States of America (2014-2015).

On this year winter was very good. Especially on holidays, Christmas and New Year. All began in November. Cold weather, snowfall, ice on windows, and frost. We must wear warm clothes such as jackets, high boots, hats, scarves, sweaters, and gloves.

But sometimes on the streets happened thaw or "spring weather". So we again wear simple jackets, trousers, and sneakers. At the beginning of December we decided to move in a new place. At the end of the first winter month December we found a comfortable apartment. My family and me moved here and I think that this place is better. On Christmas Eve it was very beautiful view from windows; blue sky, bright sun, many white snow on the land and trees. Hares running among this nice nature! On New Year also was very good weather, sun and snow. We had a Christmas tree, hand-made toys, and simple holiday food. But television was boring for us.

I was very happy! In February and January were snowfall or thaw, its different American winter.
