Literature. Part seventy six.

                                            "Riquet with the Tuft" by Charles Perrault.

Once upon a time there was a Queen whose son was ugly, he had a tuft. But her son was very clever.

Several years later in another country two twin girls were born. One of them was beautiful, but stupid, another was ugly, but clever.

In the forest stupid princess met Riquet with the tuft. He was in love with the princess for her beauty. The prince asked the princess to marry him. Stupid princess said she would marry him in a year.

The princess gotten a lot smarter this year. All people were amazed about it. 

One year later she met Riquet with the tuft again. He was preparing for the wedding.

The princess understood that the ugly prince gave her mind. They were married. She saw Riquet's inner handsome qualities, such as: intelligence, manners, and behavior.

Literature. Part sixty two.

                                                     "The Ugly Ducking" by Hans Christian Andersen.

Once upon a time mother duck had some eggs. Duckings hatched from the eggs. They were all nice. Except one.

The only ducking was very different from others. He was ugly. The ducking's neck was long. So, other animals noticed it. They said bad things about him. These animals didn't know who he was.

It was unpleasant for the ducking and his mother. The duck protected her unusual child. But the ugly ducking suffered from bullying.

The ducking went away from his family. Afterwards, he met wild geese in the swamp. But unfortunately they were killed by hunters.

Also, the ugly lived in another place. There were hen and a cat. But they laughed at him, too.

The ducking lived on the lake but still worried. Suddenly he saw swans. The ducking understood that he loved them.

Another time the ugly ducking saw his reflection. Now he knew that he is a nice swan. The ducking lived with other swans.

Literature. Part eight.

                        The Star-Child by Oscar Wilde.

Once upon a time in a winter night two poor Woodcutters found a baby boy in the snow. One of them took the founding in his house. Woodcutter and his wife had own children. Despite the fact that the family wasn't rich they sheltered the child.

Boy grew up very handsome. But his behavior was terrible. He was very proud and arrogant. Child called simple people with bad words. Also he mocked the animals. Woodcutter and his wife often said to Star-Child that he shouldn't do so to others. Boy didn't hear their words.

When Star-Child was ten years old in their villiage appeared the poor woman. She recognized her son in very handsome boy. The poor woman asked to kiss her. Child refused to make it. His mother went and cried.

He retured to his friends. But they just laughed. Woodcutter's children said that Star-Child's appearance very ugly. Boy looked into the water... His face was awful as his behavior.

The Star-Child cried and went in search of his mother. He asked animals but they didn't want to say that was a poor woman because boy mocked them.

So he found his mother during three years on the way people laughed at him.

In one day an old man whom was an evil magician took the ugly boy himself. He mistreated the Star-Child. The evil magician asked him brought the coins three times. Star-Boy found coins with the help of a hare. But each time he gave the beggar a coin. So evil magician beat the Star-Child.

Once on a day people said that Star-Child son of the King and Queen. Boy was sure that he is son of the poor woman. Boy kissed woman's hands. The Star-Child cried. He raised his head... King and Queen were near. Boy became a handsome again.
