Tales from childhood: Happy event for Angela.

When Angela lived with her parents she didn't remember many days. She was a little girl then.

In her new family, Angela was able to find herself and real friends. She was very happy!

In her old family, Angela didn't have time for different things. But there were people who helped her. Angela was grateful and patient. She used to feel lonely, but now it has passed. Also, Angela learned to understand people and notice things that not everyone notices.

It was a good example for Sophie and her friends.

Tales from childhood: Answers to questions.

"Why did Lara's father choose Mrs. M.?" many people wondered.

Sophie, when she began to grow up, started to think about it, too. Is this woman so wonderful? Yes she is, one of the reasons why she has always been loved by many people in different places.

Really, really, there are several examples of Mrs. M.'s qualities. She knows how to start and maintain conversation, sympathize, help a person in difficult times, tries to do a good job.

But it turns out that this wasn't the only point. Mrs. M. had a house and apartments in the city and the suburbs. Gossips even said that other men wanted to marry her. Some believed in it, some didn't.

"Still, Mrs. M. has enough good qualities for a good wife," Sophie said.

"That's for sure!" the mother said.

Tales from childhood: Growing up.

What does it mean to be an adult? Little Sophie often asked herself that question. Anne and Kate had their own opinion about it. They said that big girls wear many braclets and necklaces. Sophie thought about it.

Granny said that it means when you helped at home.

So, Sophie remembered these words. She thought about her deals and helped at home.

Tales about childhood: A dangerous trek.

(This is my own short story).

Once in early spring tree girls, classmates from elementary school decided to go to the river after classes. Sophie, Kate, and Anne are made in good relations, girls are best friends. It's proposed to Kate, Anne supported, Sophie hesitated but after agreed.

When children arrived to the river girls saw thin ice. Kate stood on the ice. Then Anne joined her friend.

Only Sophie stood on the bank. Little girl seriously pondered her act. But sudden... Anne's feet were in the cold water. Kate stopped jumping and fell. Anne was already waist-deep in the river and crying.

At this moment Sophie was in panic. She didn't know what to do. Several seconds later girl cried "Help!".

Simple man responded to the children's cries and saved them.

When the girls returned home their families scolded them. So Sophie, Kate, and Anne will remember this day for the rest of their life.

Red cross-assistant to all.

The International Committee of the Red Cross is located in Geneva, Switzerland. This committee was founded on June 24, 1863. Also Red Cross has three Nobel Peace Prizes.

These things say that Red Cross helps to people whom needed. Example, during war or natural disasters. No matter where it happens.

The International Committee of the Red Cross has its own history. In 1859 Henry Dunant, met with French emperor Napoleon III. Two men talked about the difficalties of working in Algeria, which was the French territory. When Henry Dunant arrived in town Solferino and saw fighting during several thousands of soldiers died and injuries.

When he returned to home he wrote book A memory of Solferino. Henry Dunant said about lack of help.

So it was beginning for The Intenational Committee of the Red Cross.

Swiss flag-this is a Red Cross in reverse.
