                                                   "The Wild Swans" by Hans Christian Andersen.

Once upon a time there was a king with his twelve children: eleven sons and one daughter.

Their stepmother was an evil witch. She turned her stepsons into swans and made her stepdaughter Elisa ugly.

The swan brothers flew away, and no one recognized their sister.

After some time, Elisa became beautiful again and found her brothers.

Then sister gathered nettles and made shirts from them. This saved eleven brothers.

At the end of the fairy tale, Elisa got married.

Once upon a time there was a ruler named Caliph Charid.

By magic he turned into different animals. When ruler Caliph turned into a stork, he forgot the spell.

Then he and the Princess learned the magic word and turned back into people.

                                                   "The Mouse, the Bird, and the Sausage" by the Brothers Grimm.

Once upon a time there were The Mouse, the Bird, and the Sausage. They lived together.

But other birds thought that the Bird did many works. It was very fun for them.

Then, when the characters were performing another responsibilities they all died.

                                               “The Pack of Ragamuffins” by the Brothers Grimm.

Once upon a time the rooster and the hen made a carriage from nut shell.

On the way they met the duck. After they ate her egg.

Also, they met pin and needle. All went to the hotel for the night. The owner let them in.

There the rooster laid egg-shell to bake. Also, he laid pin and needle.

At the morning the owner injured with a pin and needle. Egg-shell got into his eyes.

                                                     "The Nightingale" by Hans Christian Andersen.

Once upon a time there was a Chinese emperor. He had a palace. Also, this emperor had a huge garden. A nightingale lived in this garden, he sang very beautifully.

Everyone admired the singing of the nightingale and wrote about it. Then this bird sang for the emperor himself and he liked it.

Then an artificial nightingale appeared in the palace. Everyone began to listen to the new bird. Also, it sang beautifully, but after a while she stopped.

One day the emperor became very ill. He almost died. But a living nightingale flew to him and sang for the emperor. So, the bird saved him.

Tales from childhood: The cuckoo.

 Sophie was a middle school student. On that day her class had a biology lesson. Teacher told about animals in the forest.

Children listened very carefully. The teacher told about birds.

"A cuckoo is a bird that tosses its eggs to other nests," the woman said.

Little Sophie pondered these words. Some other birds are taking care of the cuckoo chicks. And the mother leaves her cubs.

Homework was like this: watch the cuckoo and its new "family".

Sophie and her grandmother saw a large cuckoo chick and another small bird. These birds flew to them in the garden at their summer home for a week. It was interesting for little Sophie. A small bird was feeding a large cuckoo cub.

Sophie suddenly remembered how her mother had watched the TV program. Then she called one woman a "cuckoo" because she abandoned her child.

At school, Sophie talked about the cuckoo and his new "mother". It was a discovery for her. Strange things happened in life.

                                                     "The Ugly Ducking" by Hans Christian Andersen.

Once upon a time mother duck had some eggs. Duckings hatched from the eggs. They were all nice. Except one.

The only ducking was very different from others. He was ugly. The ducking's neck was long. So, other animals noticed it. They said bad things about him. These animals didn't know who he was.

It was unpleasant for the ducking and his mother. The duck protected her unusual child. But the ugly ducking suffered from bullying.

The ducking went away from his family. Afterwards, he met wild geese in the swamp. But unfortunately they were killed by hunters.

Also, the ugly lived in another place. There were hen and a cat. But they laughed at him, too.

The ducking lived on the lake but still worried. Suddenly he saw swans. The ducking understood that he loved them.

Another time the ugly ducking saw his reflection. Now he knew that he is a nice swan. The ducking lived with other swans.

History of New Zealand.

New Zealand is situated on two islands named North Island and South Island. Also, the country is located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, in Polynesia.

The main climate in New Zealand is warm and tropical. Kiwi birds are live there.

This country has a long history. Europeans appeared on the islands in 1642. They found here new lands and territory.

On September 26, 1907, New Zealand became independent.

Journey to Park City, Utah.

Recently, we have been visited this ski resort. During a journey we saw many species of nature and animals. Mountains, deer, little birds, cows, horses.

When we had a rest time we saw forest and river. I felt the familiar smell of water!

After a long road we arrived in this beautiful city. In Park city there are many shops, cafes, and mountain landscape with houses. Also in Park City I was photographed with a bronze bear.

I think that Park City in Utah is interesting place.

During a trip we ate a lot of fruits and two sandwiches.

Birds of Wyoming.

State og Wyoming has many different animals, including birds. They are very beautiful! Example, magpie. These birds have black tail and white sidepiece. I often see them through window or when walking.

Also sometimes on the West of state fly Ross's Gulls. They are white but parts of their wings and tails have grey color. In Wyoming live other gulls, too. Western Gull, Sabine's Gull. But their number not so big because state doesn't have a cold sea.

Worm-eating Warbler is beautiful bird. It has pink beak, yellow piece-side, and green tail and wings. Sometimes I see how they eat worms in green grass.

Band-tailed Pigeon has grey feathers, red eyes, and yellow beak. I think that this birds are very similar on it's european "brothers". Alsp in Wyoming, live sparrows and crows. They travel on the continent.

Bay-breasted Warbler isn't usual in Europe. It has bright colors: white, black, and red.
