Forest tundra.

Forest tundra is a transition zone between tundra and taiga.

Those natural landscapes are found in Eurasia and North America.

Also, forest tundra has its own flora and fauna. Pine and spruce trees grow there. Deer, wolves, and bears live in the forest tundra.

Literature. Part fifty six.

                                                    White Fang by Jack London.

This novel was written at the beginning of XX century. Animals and people are main characters in this book. White Fang is the wolf-dog hybrid. His father and siblings died. But he survived.

White Fang had a lot of adventures during this story. The animal had masters Grey Beaver and Beauty Smith.

Also, White Fang had conflicts with other characters. But he found a female dog named Collie. They had puppies.

Main characters experienced many difficult moments. The animal was involved in dog fighting. Some people were cruel to him. Other saved the White Fang.

In the novel there are many descriptions of nature and landscapes.

Wolfies.

(This is short story by my brother).
One day, in a gloomy, snowy, forest, two little wolves were born. At first, they couldn't do anything so their mother took care of them both. But, when some time passed, and they grew up a little, it was time to leave their shelter with their mother and start learning about basics of life.

In the beginning, their "trip" around the forest was nothing special. Their mother showed them how to hunt, showed their territory, ect. But then, suddenly, it started snowing. The snow and wind escalated very quickly, and soon it turned into a storm. The mother wolf picked up her cubs and started running towards the direction where their shelter was. All the animals in the forest did the same. No one wanted to freeze. The two little wolves felt colder and colder. Their mother was rushing as fast as she could. The cubs start to fall asleep from the cold.

The little wolves open their eyes. The weather is sunny, they are in their shelter, their mother is near them. She managed to get to their home in time. This is how the little wolves experienced their first day outside. The second one begins now.

Mammals of Wyoming.

I wrote about birds of Wyoming. Now I write about mammals, another type of animals.

Sometimes I can see mammals on the streets. Example, the hares. In winter, traces of these animals are visible on snow. In Wyoming there are several types of hares. White-tailed Jackrabbit, Black-tailed Jackrabbit, Snowshoe Hare, Mountain Cottontail, Desert Cottontail, Eastern Cottontail. They are similar to each other.

Also in the state, live more big mammals, horses, Elks, Mooses, deer, Bisons, Goats. They are Herbivores. While walking I can see animals near the forest. Large herbivores are very beautiful!

Carvivores live in Wyoming, too. Bears, wolves, foxes, Long-tailed Weasels, Coyotes. But they are living in wild nature. Sometimes I can see them on TV.

P.S. I think that in our state has rich fauna.
