Angela felt that she didn't have any friends. It was very difficult for her.

"I want to have a good friend," she said.

"I recommend you a dog. These animals are nice pets and friends," Maria said.

Now, Angela had a dog as a friend. She walked every morning with her pet. Also, Angela taught her new friend.

"It really helps when very lonely," Timothy said.

Sophie was very glad that Angela had a good friend.

Many years ago there were man and woman. They could domesticate a dog, a horse, a cow, but the cat walked on its own.

The cat was an independent animal.

People tried to tame the cat, but the animal wanted to be on her own, it only came to visit and played with the baby.

Timothy left his puppy in Maria's house. Angela played and walked with this pet.

"I like this puppy! We have funny moments together!" Angela said.

"Very good!" Raymond said.

The animal was really cheerful and sociable.

"What a cute puppy!" Sophie said with a smile.

At this moment Angela walked with the pet in the yard and dog wagged tail. Also, the pet barked happily.

"Timothy will be glad that we take care of his dog." Maria said.

Timothy was glad that he had a new good friend. But sometimes he worried that some people didn’t understand him and judged by Timothy’s appearance. His pet loved him and didn’t notice anything.

One morning, when Timothy was walking outside with his puppy, a middle-aged woman noticed him. She saw Timothy without an iron mask and knew what to do.

“Good morning young man! What’s your name?” she said.

“Hello! My name is Timothy.” Timothy said.

At home, Timothy called this phone number and then went to visit Maria. He was very happy. Raymond and Maria had a long talk with Timothy about something.

“Sophie, Timothy was cheerful yesterday.” Angela said.

“I hope he’s doing well now.” Sophie said.

Tales from childhood: New kind friend.

Mrs. Anne decided to make a surprise for Timothy. She wanted to give him a little puppy. This pet was a daughter of neighborhood dog.

"This puppy will be a good friend for Timothy. The pet will love Timothy." Mrs. Anne said.

The surprise pleased the young man very much, he always dreamed of a dog.

They began to live together, Timothy took care of a baby puppy, fed, walked with his pet. The puppy loves its owner.

"Very good that Timothy has such a friend!" Sophie thought.

                                             "The Tinderbox" by Hans Christian Andersen.

Once upon a time there was a soldier. He was a poor man and met a witch. The witch asked him to climb on the tree.

The soldier found three dogs. They were different. There were many coins. The poor soldier took  a lot of money. There was a tinderbox, too.

She asked the soldier to give her a tinderbox. But the soldier didn’t give it to the witch. He killed her.

The soldier became a rich person. He spent his money. Later soldier knew about princess. She was in the tower.

The fairy tinderbox helped him. One of the three dogs brought a princess. Soldier saw a sleeping princess.

He was arrested and set in a prison. The soldier was sentenced to death.

At this moment the tinderbox helped him again. The three dogs appeared. They killed king.

The soldier and the princess are married. They became king and queen.

This fairy tale was translated to many languages. There are different adaptations.

                                                    White Fang by Jack London.

This novel was written at the beginning of XX century. Animals and people are main characters in this book. White Fang is the wolf-dog hybrid. His father and siblings died. But he survived.

White Fang had a lot of adventures during this story. The animal had masters Grey Beaver and Beauty Smith.

Also, White Fang had conflicts with other characters. But he found a female dog named Collie. They had puppies.

Main characters experienced many difficult moments. The animal was involved in dog fighting. Some people were cruel to him. Other saved the White Fang.

In the novel there are many descriptions of nature and landscapes.

Ares.

Ares was a god of war in Ancient Greece. His parents were Zeus and Hera.

The God married Aphrodite, goddess of beauty. They had several children.

Also, Ares had several unique symbols, such as: sword, helmet, dog, and shield.

There are many myths and legends about this god. Artists and sculptors created paintings and sculptures of Ares.

Cerberus.

Cerberus was a monster in Ancient Greece. The creature had three heads and poison jaws. Dog's parents were Typhon and Echidna. Their sibling was Orthrus.

Also, Cerberus was a dog of Hades, god of the underworld. They guarted the gates.

Heracles killed the three-headed dog during his last labour.

There are many paintings and sculptures about Cerberus.

                                   The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

Dorothy and her dog Toto appeared in the magical place. During cyclone they were inside the house that was swept away. Toto could talk in the Land of Oz. Also, Dorothy had the silver shoes.

Frineds wanted to go home. Dorothy and Toto had to go Emerald City. On the way they met a Scarecrow. Dorothy, Toto, and Scarecrow went to the Wizard of Oz. Afterwards, friends met Tin Woodman and the Cowardly Lion.

Each of them had own wishes: Dorothy and Toto wanted to return home, Scarecrow wanted to have a brain, Tin Woodman wanted to have a heart, Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave.

During the novel characters appeared in different magical lands. They met kind and evil wizards and witches. Also, creatures helped each other in hard situations.

At the end they arrived to Emerald City. After adventures their wishes became true.

There are many illustrations, cartoons, and movies about this book. Students study the novel in school. Famous work was translated in many languages. Even written continuations.

                                  "Town Musicians of Bremen" by the Brothers Grimm.

Once upon a time donkey dicided to go to Bremen city. He wanted to become a micisian. On the way donkey met a dog.

So, animals went together to Bremen. Some time later the donkey and dog met a cat. This animal wanted to become a town musician of Bremen and joined to them.

At the end the donkey, the dog, and the cat met a farm rooster. He wanted to run away from his farmer.

In the evening animals saw a house in the forest. Friends were very tired and hungry. Donkey saw robbers there. They wanted to scare them away. Animals stood on top of each other.

Robbers run away from the forest. Donkey, dog, cat, and rooster lived in this place.

Tales from childhood: Walking in the yard.

One winter Sunday morning little Sophie and her granny decided to go to the yard with their dog. There was: blue sky, bright sun, frost, and a lot of white snow all around.

Sophie met her friends in the yard. Girl's grandmother met another old woman. She was old, alone person and age was already high. Also she had a bad mood on that day. Several minutes later their puppy barked to old woman. Suddenly she yelled at Sophie's grandmother and dog. But granny didn't pay any attention to her.

After old woman told everyone that she go to the shop because even a dog wasn't pleased to her.

Puppy.

Puppy is living in a good European country and has wonderful owners. Family of five people. Mother, Father, and three children. They bought little puppy when pet was just a month old. Family named their dog Pearl because it has white fur. This little puppy is female. All members of family look after Pearl. They are on duty at a time. Wash her with shampoo, feed a puppy tasty food especially for dogs, walk with a pet several times a day. On streets Pearl walk with beautiful leash and collar.

So little puppy is glad for her life with people. Usually during walk on streets with somebody from good family Pearl meet other dogs with their owners. They also have leash and collar. Some loudly bark when they meet Pearl. She has some friends among neighboring dogs. Pearl is an educated dog who never bites.

Also white little puppy knows several commands. Family trained their favourite dog and love her very much. So pearl is growing as a good and kind dog!
