Tales from childhood: Ordinary young man.

Nice to meet you, dear readers! My name is Jack. I'm an ordinary guy. I'm Beth's age. I'm being raised by my grandparents.

"You're a wonderful grandson!" my grandmother said.

I have been going to the forest with my grandfather since early childhood. There we pick berries. My granddad knows forest plants.

Now we go out less often because I'm already a student.

Tales from childhood: Shiny cards.

Natalie had many old and new cards with pictures and words. They had sparkles. She decided to show cards to Sophie and Beth.

Little Sophie met her best friend in the yard. Girls watched shiny cards. They were happy! Lara saw Sophie and Natalie. She wanted to see cards with pictures and words. But Natalie didn't allow that. Lara could spoil them.

Several minutes later Beth was in the yard. Johnny and Jack came, too. Girls watched old and new cards. Boys talked to each other.

Suddenly Lara said bad things to Beth. The child was just jealous. Natalie and Sophie were silent. But Johnny stood up for his sister. Boy said that she couldn't say bad things about Beth. Also, Beth's brother added very smart words: "Don't say bad things about other people." Jack supported him.

Lara became silent. Sophie, Natalie, and Beth still read cards. Children found wise quotes.

Sophie listened what Beth said about Lara. Mr. Theodor had a simple face. Father remembered that his children were little, too. But they were silent.

Tales from childhood: Sense of humour.

Little Sophie liked funny jokes from her friends. Jack had a good sense of humour. He could say kind words about Beth's new dress. So, all friends started laughing and smiling including Beth.

Edward had a sense of humour, too. But he could say stupid things about somebody. Edward laid a toy spider to Johnny's table. Other children laughed but Johnny was angry and frightened.

Sophie understood that different people had different sense of humour. So, we must be carefully laugh at jokes.

Also, Edward had stupid fun with other friends.

Tales from childhood: A cool boy.

Sophie often walked with her company. Suddenly in this palce a new boy arrived. He was nine years old. He had a small height, but he wanted to be cool. His name was Edward. Edward always showed off with children.

Beth and Jack didn't like this behavior. Little Sophie wanted to finish games with Edward. Natalie and Caroline understood him and talked about coolness.

Several days later Johnny siad to Edward that children in the yard will not play with him. Because Edward shows off all the time. He thought about his own behavior and style. May be Edward understood what he was a "cool" boy.

Later he decided to apologize before friends. So, Edward got a second chance.

Sophie and other children started playing with Edward because he changed his behavior.

Tales from childhood: Rain in May.

It was the last month of spring. Sophie, Jack, Beth, and Johnny walked on the bank of river. The weather was nice, especially for May. Blue sky, sun, and stuffy air.

Sophie thought about school. She passed difficult exams. Left to do the cleaning in the classroom and get school diary. Beth studied at 7th grade of middle school. She wanted to go to medical college. Also, she was a good example for Sophie and was friends with Jack.

Little Sophie laid in the tent with the bouquet of field flowers, Johnny was fishing in the river, Beth was sitting and talking with Jack. Good weather was important for this situation. But suddenly...

In the blue sky big and grey clouds appeared, the lightning flashed, thunder roared, it started raining. Children run to the bringe. They saw Mr. Theodor with several umbrellas. So, friends went to the village house. Beth and Johnny's father sheltered children.

Sophie heared thunder and saw water pouring. The lightning flashed through the window.

Old woman cooked pies and tea for children. Frineds were very happy. They felt warm.

Hour later the thunderstorm ended. Beth and Jack left the house. Soon, they returned with smile and called Sophie and Johnny. All of them saw beautiful rainbow on the sky. Sophie became happy on this May day despite the fact roads were muddy.

Tales from childhood: We are all different.

Johnny and Beth had a good friend Jack. He lived with his grandparents. Sophie knew several facts about Jack: he was 14-year-old boy, helped people in hard situations, and was friends with Mr. Theodor and his children.

On Sunday, Sophie, Johnny, Beth, and Jack decided to go to the cinema. Mr. Theodor and grandparents supported company and leave them.

Movie was very sad, so Sophie, Beth, and Jack cried. Johnny didn't cry because his father said, "Men don't cry". But sometimes children laugh, too.

Ten days later boys and girls met again. They wanted to play soccer in the yard. Suddenly Jack slipped and fell, boy had an injury. He started crying. Beth worried about her friend.

Sophie thought about it. Strange that big boy cried. Girl often saw how girls cried from her grade, such as: Anne and Kate. Sometimes Sophie cried, too. Even Beth cried in hard situations. Johnny cried very rarely.

Beth and Jack grandparents cared about teenager boy. Soon Jack finished crying.

At the end of walking in the yard appeared Mr. Theodor. He looked askew on Jack. After man said that "real men never cry".

Sophie heared old man's voice. "Grandson, you can cry if you feel pain".

Next day little girl talked about her feelings with her granny. She said that we are all different. Each of us has their own opinion. We shouldn't judge anyone.

Sophie remembered these for the rest of her life.
