Tales from childhood: A home for a family.

Hi! I'm Mr. Theodor. Yes, I again speak with you.

My father left me an inheritance. Now I use it for my children. We have several houses in different places.

The mother of my children died under unclear circumstances. Beth and Johnny were still little then. Unfortunately, this is what happened. They know about it.

"We are family!" I told people many years ago.

Although some people still don't understand me. These things aren't important for me.

Tales from childhood: Woman with kind heart.

Good morning, boys and girls! I’m Johnny and I want to tell you about our life.

Mr. Theodor and Beth are my family. Sophie is my class mate and friend.

Lady in red helped my father if needed. She worked with us. I think that she has a kind heart.

“Hello, Beth and Johnny! How are you today?” she asked me and my sister.

“We are fine, thank you” we answered.

Woman in red is a polite person.

Good evening everyone! I'm known as Mr. Theodor. My wife died many years ago. Beth and Johnny are my children.

I met the woman in red several years ago. She herself told me her secret.

"I'm a little different. I have something that others don't." lady in red said during our meeting.

After that I realized that maybe she is in such state that she doesn't want to tell other about it. The woman with red lipstick has a mysterious disease.

Tales from childhood: I want to tell you.

Hello everyone, I want to tell you about my past life. I'm lady in red, I can't tell you my real name.

I hardly remember my life before I was a teenager. I have only a few memories. My younger twin sisters are forever in my past.

Mr. Theodor is my old friend. When I was a young woman we met. We talked with each other.

"You're very beautiful young woman!" Mr. Theodor said.

"I heard these words yet," I said with a smile.

So, we started communication and becoming best friends. He often treated me.

In fact, Mr. Theodor got jewelry from his late wife. She was the daughter of a man who held a high position.

Tales from childhood: Our choice.

Little Sophie had several friends and toys. She could change her opinion about them.

Several years ago Sophie liked playing with Kate. It was during elementary school. When Kate went to another school, Sophie found new friends. Also, she noticed that she doesn't miss Kate.

"All we have different opinions," said Sophie's mother.

Little Sophie changed her own opinion on many things. Before the first grade she liked chocolate cake with cherries. But then Sophie liked cake with strawberry.

She forgot about some classmates. Maybe they didn't want to be friends with Sophie. Her best friends were Natalie and Johnny.

Sophie liked Mr. Theodor's son. She trusted only him. The other children didn't inspire confidence in her.

Lara's father made his choice, too. But no one could understand why he did this. Perhaps the man had a stranger love for this good and kind woman.

Tales from childhood: Johnny's travels.

Johnny was a simple boy. He liked his place. But Johnny's father decided to go to travel.

Beth, Mr. Theodor, and Johnny had to ride a bus for several hours. It was very unusual for Johnny.

"I hope that we'll have a dinner in a cafe," Beth said.

"No. We must very quickly return home," Mr. Theodor said.

Johnny supported his father. He was sure that they shouldn't waste their time. Better get home fast!

So, Mr. Theodor and his children got on the bus and drove into the city. In the beginning Johnny had a good mood.

In a new place father entered the building. Beth and Johnny were outside at this moment. Little Johnny smiled.

Mr. Theodor, Beth, and Johnny went to the bus station. They were tired.

Return trip was very hard. The bus was hot. Children were hungry. Johnny wished he had eaten in the city.

At home Beth and Johnny had different feelings. They understood their mistakes.

Next time Mr. Theodor and his children always rested and ate in new places.

Tales from childhood: I will wait for you.

Lara had a good grandfather. Maybe he was strange person, but he had many qualities. His granddaughter was a moody child. Lara's mother didn't pay attention to her. This woman worked a lot and spent her nights at work.

Beth and Johnny talked with Mr. Theodor in hard situations. He was a kind parent. So, his children loved and respected him.

"Daddy" is an important word," thought Lara.

She wanted to say this word to the right person. Little Lara started waiting her father. She hoped that he will come by car. Or maybe he come by metro or tram. Lara looked out at the cars and the men who got out of them. Also, she looked at the men who went in the porch of her house.

Lara heard sounds a telephone. She hoped that her daddy called. But it wasn't him. When Lara saw a postman put a letter in their box, she thought about her daddy. Maybe he wrote a letter for her and her mother. But no..

"When will my father come?" Lara asked her granddad.

He had a sad face. He often saw his former relative in many public places. This man cared for his other children. Lara's grandfather felt pain in his soul.

"Maybe in the future," the grandfather said.

Little Lara didn't want to believe that her father lived in her city.

In the yard the young girltold her friends about her uncle. He was a fireman. He saved little children from the building. The man had facial scars. Also, he walked with crutches. Fireman had a medal for courage. He lost his fellow. Many people knew him. That fireman was a good husband and father.

Suddenly Lara decided that her father could be a hero, too. Maybe he saved somebody. Lara's mother didn't want to tell about her former husband. But  she knew where he lived. She saw him several times a week.

Little Lara didn't want to believe that her father loved other children. She hoped that one day he will love her.

Tales from childhood: A pretty stranger.

"Children grow up very fast. We met you when you studied in the 1st grade, now you are in the fourth grade," the neighbor said.

Sophie understood her words. She really grew up. The girl became serious. Sophie didn't argue with the little children. Also, she knew that children grow up and become adults. But for parents we were always little. Grandma often talked about this, too.

School teacher had two young sons. They graduated college and worked. Some of the children in the class recognized these men easily. Teacher talked with them by phone.

Little Sophie noticed that the oldest son talked about young woman. Other children were inerested, too. Johnny wanted to see her.

So, on Friday Sophie and Johnny saw teacher's son. He walked in the yard behind the school. Next to him was a girl. She was a slim brunette. Her nose was straight, eyes were big. Little Johnny said that she was a beautiful lady. Sophie agreed with him.

At the end of the school year teacher said that this young woman was from the southern city. Also, she appeared in the park. She had a strange style in clothes.

"I think that she is a nice woman," said Johnny to Mr. Theodor.

"In the world there are many pretty people," said his father.

Sophie saw how teacher's son and that strange woman held hadns. Over time people saw how they kissed and hugged each other.

Tales from childhood: Important people for us.

Lara had a difficult temper. Sometimes she behaved like a crybaby. The child was loud. Lara fought and took away toys from other children. The girl walked in the yard with her grandfather. Lara's mother visited shops a this time.

One fine day Beth decided to tell about her father, Mr. Theodor. Sophie and her best friend Natalie wanted to listen.

"My father help me in hard situations. He remembered about my habits. Because he is my father." said Beth with pride in her voice.

Little Lara thought about her own father. He left her when she was almost three-years-old. Mother didn't talk about her husband. She found another man.

Lara imagined her father was military. Perhaps he died defending his Motherland. But little Lara couldn't find any military medals at home.

When grandfather and granddaughter returned from a walk, Lara asked,

"Where is my father? I know that Mr. Theodor is a good father for Beth and Johnny. But I don't have a father!" said Lara with a sad voice.

Granddad didn't know what to say to the child. Although he knew the whole truth.

"Your father... lives on the next street and has another wife and children," said grandfather.

Afterwards, old man covered his mouth with his hand. Gossip is true. Natalie saw Lara's father many times. Sophie and her family knew about it, too.

Maybe little Lara didn't understand anything. This situation influenced on her temper.

Grandfather regretted about his own words. But children can't be deceived.

Mr. Theodor was strict but fair. He raised children alone. The father worked hard for Beth and Johnny.

Sophie's father left the family many years ago. Mother and grandmother never talked about it. Little Sophie wasn't interested in this, too. But Mr. Theodor was a good example for the girl.

"Is Mr. Theodor a good father?" asked Sophie.

"Yes, of course," answered mother.

Lara's father lived not far from his daughter. Natalie often noticed him in the shops and parks. No oneknew why he wasn't talking with his child. Natalie thought it was weird.

Teachers in school advised to study for a profession where she could chat with people. Beth listened this.

Beth decided to go to the medical college. She remembered about poor and sick children in her yard. Beth and Johnny knew a little boy who had a weak health. Young girl often felt sorry for him.

Mr. Theodor was sure that his daughter made a right choice. He knew that Beth will be a good student at medical college.

Little Sophie met her best friend in the yard. Girls watched shiny cards. They were happy! Lara saw Sophie and Natalie. She wanted to see cards with pictures and words. But Natalie didn't allow that. Lara could spoil them.

Several minutes later Beth was in the yard. Johnny and Jack came, too. Girls watched old and new cards. Boys talked to each other.

Suddenly Lara said bad things to Beth. The child was just jealous. Natalie and Sophie were silent. But Johnny stood up for his sister. Boy said that she couldn't say bad things about Beth. Also, Beth's brother added very smart words: "Don't say bad things about other people." Jack supported him.
