Greek Mythology.

Ancient Greece was a great country in the world history. The Greeks believed in several gods: Zeus, Hera, Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Athena, Demeter, Dionysos, Hephaitos, Hermes, and Poseidon. Each of them had their own responsibilities for something.

Zeus was the main god in Greek Mythology. Other gods were important, too. In different situations the Greeks asked different gods. For example, Athena: goddess of wisdom, Ares: god of war.

There are many myths and legends about Greek gods. In these stories you can find monsters and heroes. Many of them have interesting plots.

Mythology is an important part of Greek history.

Literature. Part twenty four.

                                The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.

Tom Sawyer is an orphan. He lives with his Aunt and brother. The boy has homeless friend Huckleberry Finn. Also, Tom likes his girl classmate, Becky (Rebecca) Thatcher.

During this novel characters have a lot of interesting situations and adventures. Children don't worry about their own life.

At the end, they all become happy and save.

There are many cartoons and movies about this story. Students study The Adventures of Tom Sawyer book at school, during the literature class.

Tom Sawyer one of the most popular characters in the world.

Great people: Isaac Newton.

Isaac Newton was born on January 4, 1643 (Old Style, December 25, 1642), at Woolsthorpe, England. His father died before Isaac was born. Isaac Newton's mother Hannah Ayscough noticed that her son was very clever boy since early childhood.

Isaac really was interested in physics, difficult science. Also, Newton studied Mathematics, Geometry, and Astronomy. In that time many many scientific laws were not know for people.

The scientist did a lot of important things for modern physics. Isaac Newton studied moving of subjects. He created Newton's laws of motion and Newton's law of universal gravitation. These laws and other discoveries are still important for us.

Isaac Newton was a popular man in his time. He never married. The scientist died in London on March 32, 1727.

Recipe of homemade Julienne.

Ingredients:

Mushrooms-200 g
Onion-1
Chicken (Breast)-200 g
Cheese-200 g
Butter-50 g
Salt-1 tea spoon
Pepper-taste
Italian seasoning-taste
Cream-2 table spoons
Flour-1 table spoon


Cut and fry the onion with butter. Cut the chicken and fry, too.




Cut the mushrooms and add to the chicken and onion.



After add the flour, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and cream.



At the top add the cheese.



Warm up the oven until 420 F and bake 400 F about 20 minutes.
