Tales from childhood: Holidays in the city.

Hi, people! This is Timothy. I want to share with you one story. It happened when I was a teenager.

It was fall then. The other children at the orphanage had been taken away by relatives for the holidays, and I was left alone.

Then I realized I could go for a walk because no one would notice my absence. The adults wouldn't care! So, I decided to take advantage of this.

I took the necessary things and left the building. This was Friday. The weather was cloudy.

I rode on buses and trams. Everyone was in hurry. An hour and a half later I arrived in the center of a big city. And suddenly... it started raining heavily!

So, I ran into the subway. If it's raining outside, then I can be here. At the next station I saw my "blind love", she was playing the harp like an angel.

"Hi, how are you?" asked my neighbor.

"I live in an orphanage now." I said.

"Poor young man!" he said and sighed.

But I've already gotten used to this life. I enjoyed the freedom these past few days. I rode the metro. I ate a lot of different snacks. It was delicious!

Then the rain stopped and I went into city. I like the spot next to the fountain. I even put my hand in there. A passerby already gave me a sideways glance.

I remembered! I have to go back to the orphanage soon! I need to do this in advance.

I was late, but no one noticed.

Tales from childhood: How we chose a Christmas tree.

Hello to everyone who reads this story! I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! How did you spend the holidays? What do you remember most?

I'm Mr. H. and I want to tell you how we chose a Christmas tree. It was quite an adventure!

"Let's go to the market for a Christmas tree," my son said with joy.

Then we went to the market to pick out what we need. It was December 23rd, Christmas had already arrived, but we still didn't have the main decoration.

"Look what a beautiful Christmas tree!" my wife said.

"Yes, it's like a forest beauty," I said with a smile.

"Maybe we should take the bigger one," my son said.

We wandered around the market for a while longer. It was frosty and snowing outside. Everyone was dressed warmly.

By the evening we found a beautiful Christmas tree and bought it. We decorated our home and new tree.

"Very good we made it in time for the holidays," my wife said the next morning.

"It's very cold now! So, you need to dress warmly." my granny said.

Yes, the weather is really cold this year. There is still a lot of snow everywhere. This is perfect for the holidays.

I went outside wearing several sweaters, a hat, boots, and a fur coat. I like Christmas!

"Good morning Sophie!" my friend Natalie said.

"Hi!" I said with a smile.

"I heard that a girl named Angela woke up in the hospital after a long sleep. Last year, that's exactly what I wished for." Natalie said.

"I want to meet her," I asked Natalie.

Then we went to the hospital and saw a teenage girl who was sleeping a lot. We used to visit Angela.

The girl sat in bed and talked to the doctor. It was a real gift for us.

Tales from childhood: Overcoming.

It was hard for me to live here. I longed for freedom. At the orphanage, no one valued me. They didn't see me as an individual.

"Do you want to go to the party with me?" my friend suggested it to me.

I knew no one would notice our absence, so I agreed. Besides, we were very bored, and the holidays were coming soon.

We dressed warmly and left quietly. Nobody even looked for us. It was snowing outside, and then the sun came out.

There were many different foods and drinks at the party. We ate, drank, and danced.

After a while, I realized that I was tired and fell asleep right in the corridor on the sofa.

"Timothy, come on, wake up, we're going home!" my friend said.

It was very hard for me, but I got up and they took us there in a car.

At the orphanage, Maria talked to me. I couldn't understand her, but only later did I understand everything.

Tales from childhood: Holiday miracles.

"Angela woke up! It's a miracle!" the doctor said with a smile.

"She slept for many years since childhood," I said with surprise.

Christmas and New Year are coming soon and I, Beth, want to tell you about what happened at the hospital.

Once upon a time, a little girl fell into a deep sleep and was admitted to the hospital.

Now she is awake, but sitting in a wheelchair. Doctors are taking care of her.

Sophie and Natalie are happy about this.

Sophie decided to celebrate New Year's Eve in the city.

"31st December will a party in the castle." said the voice on the radio.

"We must visit this party!" Sophie said.

"It's a good idea!" Natalie said.

There was a beautiful castle on the outskirts of the city, where this festive party was held. The one who wanted came.

Angela talked about how she spent this year in her new family. Timothy was confident because he had a successful operation this year. Sophie was simply happy.

It was a good party in the castle.

 Sophie had several friends in her school. But Johnny was her good friend. They walked together during holidays.

Some children in the class noticed that Sophie and Johnny are very close friends. It was true.

Once Johnny was talking to the boys about who likes whom.

"You like Sophie," Johnny's friend said.

"Yes, I like her, because she is a very kind girl. Also, she knows how to listen to people and talk politely," Johnny said.

Sophie hadn't discussed with anyone that she liked Johnny. Sophie was just in love with this guy.

Classmates continued to be close friends.

 Sophie became a big child. But she liked an amusement park. It was a very comfortable place in a town. Little Sophie walked there with her friends during the holidays.

These days she was busy. She couldn't walk in an amusement park. Sophie missed the funny moments in this place.

Time passed and little Sophie still didn't visit the park. Suddenly she understood that she was in an amusement park five months ago! 

"Granny I want to visit an amusement park!" Sophie said.

"You can go there on Sunday," grandmother said.

On Sunday, she finally visited this place. Sophie rode swings and merry-go-rounds. She felt old and new happy moments.

Once upon a time there was an emperor. He liked his clothes. An emperor wore them for holidays, theatres, and walks.

One day two liars visited emperor. They wanted to create new clothes for him. The tailors said that they make invisible clothing for the emperor.

Although the emperor and his courtiers noticed that there was no cloth, they didn't say anything.

When the emperor came out in new clothes to the people, they looked at him.

Suddenly little boy said that the emperor is naked!

The emperor went on, and the people began to whisper.

This fairy tale was translated to many languages. there are different movies and cartoons about this story.

Tales from childhood: Pleasant winter.

It was a cold winter week. Sophie and her classmates had a Christmas holiday.

In the first school day after the holidays, teacher told about Winter Sport Games for 2-"A" grade.

So, Sophie had a lot of warm clothes for this competition. Many children and several school teachers appeared in the park. People wore different winter clothes such as, gloves, hats, scarfs, warm coats, winter shoes, several sweaters.

But children had a fun time. Friends played hockey, tried figure skating, and skiing.

At the end Sophie understood that friendship won on this winter day.

Sophie had a dream: big children's playground. Swig, slides, and merry-go-round. Natalie and Sophie sometimes get bored without these things.

So, before fall holidays, granny wanted to say something to Sophie, but she was silent. Also, Natalies's grandfather tried not to speak. Children thought about important secret.

A day later, Sophie and Natalie saw builders with their tools. They begin to build... a new playground! Sophie and her friends were very happy about it! 

Next week, children had new swig, two slides, and merry-go-round.

Sophie was happy during all fall holidays. Little girl will remember these days for a long time.

Tales from childhood: Poor old man!

At the first day of summer holidays Sophie was very happy. Soon her cousin Caroline and best friend Natalie must go other to Sophie's. After games they plan to go to park. Weather is nice and sunny for children.

After midday Sophie hears a knock at the door. It was Caroline and Natalie! They played about three hours.

When children began to the place Sophie's mother gives them her mobile phone. If something happens they must call home. This telephone was cheap, without camera and Internet. Natalie has her own mobile phone, too. It has camera, Internet, and other functions.

Children go through big houses with many floors and apartments. No one soul among these buildings. But suddenly...

Sophie, Caroline, and Natalie see a tall young man. He is dressed in leather jacket, boots, and jeans. The person was scared. Girls look at him about twenty seconds. After he says with trembling voice.

"My grandfather has high pressure! Please help me! He lives on thirteenth floor in simple apartment! My granddad needs an ambulance! I need your mobile phone!" the guy cried.

Caroline was silent. Sophie wants to help, she gives her mobile phone. But young man said that he needs another phone. Then Natalie who has expensive thing gives her mobile.

Guy said 'Thank you' and run away from little children.

Sophie thinks about poor old man who needs an ambulance. Girls wait young man fifteen, twenty minutes, hour, two hours. Caroline and Sophie became worried about the man. They thought that something happened with young man and his grandfather.

Natalie sighs and said "Let's go home" with sad voice. Sophie and Caroline couldn't understand what happened and why Natalie cries?

Recipe of salt dough for handmade:

Flour-1 cup
Salt-1 cup
Water-1 cup
Oil-5 table spoons

Mix all ingredients in one bowl. The dough should not stick to hands. Make figures. Width about 5 mm. Dry 50 C (122 F) about 3-4 hours. Use paints and glitters.

1. You canwalk in your city or town. You may notice a lot of new things.

2. Cook delicious and healthy dishes. Fruits and vegetables are very important during this warm season.

3. Read interesting books and articles in magazines.

4. Think about yourself.

5. Enjoy summer sports: swimming, running, jogging, and etc.

Long-awaited summer.

Congratulations-today is June 1st. The first day of summer. New season, new month, new week, and new day. For pupil and students long-awaited holidays!

Also today is very important holiday-International Children's Day. On this year this holiday celebrates jubilee sixty-five years (since 1950).

Somebody like sleep until noon, travels around the world or in a neighboring town, long days and short nights... Bright sun will be hear our bodies so we became sunburned.

Sea-is one part of summer for many people. I like feeling when arrive on a plane from a cold climate to a warm. Summer clothes such as swimming suit (bright and beautiful), light dress, sunglasses, shawl, and cap (in very hot weather) became usual on this season.

But if you haven't got a warm sea in your city or a chance for travel-don't be sad you can find many interesting things in your place! Go in cafe for ice cream, watching movies in cinema with friends, have a great shopping.
