Tales from childhood: City for the travel.

Timothy decided to visit another city. He visited this place several times yet.

"I want to travel with you," Timothy said to lady in red.

"Good idea!" she said.

Lady in red wanted to see this city, too. She dreamed about it for many years.

So, Timothy showed lady in red the city. They visited different buildings. It was important for them.

Sophie and her friends were very glad for Timothy and lady in red.

Tales from childhood: Timothy's travel.

“I decided to visit another city. I’ll be in our city in a few days. Be happy!”

This note was found by Raymond. Then he realized that Timothy had gone to another place.

“Let him go and see this city.” Maria said.

Indeed, Timothy had long wanted to go there and know about it.

Mrs. Anne was very happy for young man; it’s good that this wish came true. Sophie and Angela were glad, too.

This city was good. Then when Timothy returned, he had new thoughts.

Silk Road.

The Silk Road was a trade way which connected China and the Far East with the Middle East and Europe in ancient time and Middle Ages. The Silk Road was used to export silk from China.

This road was opened during the Han Dynasty. It ruled from 206 B. C. to 220 A. D.

The way connected different countries of the Far East, Middle East, Middle Asia, and Europe. Also, there were small routes, such as: Mesopotamia and India subcontinent, Northern Africa through Egypt.

Silk, horses, paper, spices, jade, glassware, furs, and slaves; these good were traded on the famous road.

Alexander the Great, king of Macedonia, in Ancient Greece, expanded his possessions through the Silk Road.

Also, the Royal Road routes led to the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

Italian explorer Marco Polo used the Silk Road to travel from Italy to China. He arrived there in 1275. Marco Polo travelled by camel overland.

He returned to Italy through the Silk Road in 1295. Marco Polo wrote a book Book of the Marvels of the World or The Travels of Marco Polo. It gave better understanding of Asian culture.

Tales from childhood: Johnny's travels.

Johnny was a simple boy. He liked his place. But Johnny's father decided to go to travel.

Beth, Mr. Theodor, and Johnny had to ride a bus for several hours. It was very unusual for Johnny.

"I hope that we'll have a dinner in a cafe," Beth said.

"No. We must very quickly return home," Mr. Theodor said.

Johnny supported his father. He was sure that they shouldn't waste their time. Better get home fast!

So, Mr. Theodor and his children got on the bus and drove into the city. In the beginning Johnny had a good mood.

In a new place father entered the building. Beth and Johnny were outside at this moment. Little Johnny smiled.

Mr. Theodor, Beth, and Johnny went to the bus station. They were tired.

Return trip was very hard. The bus was hot. Children were hungry. Johnny wished he had eaten in the city.

At home Beth and Johnny had different feelings. They understood their mistakes.

Next time Mr. Theodor and his children always rested and ate in new places.
