Tales from childhood: Our migration.

Hi, this is Timothy! I want to tell you about my move to a new place.

This happened when Maria and I decided to come to the big city after graduating from the orphanage.

"I think it's better to live in that city than in ours," my sister Maria said.

"I'm of the same opinion, because there's more entertainment there," I said with confidence.

But when we arrived, everything turned out to be much more complicated. Things ran out quickly. Also, there were long lines in a new city. So after a while, we decided to go back.

"But we gained experience" Maria said.

"True, true" I said.

Ganymede.

Ganymede or Ganymedes (Γανυμήδης) (Ganymēdēs) was the son of founder and king of Troy Tros (Τρώς) and Callirhoe (Καλλιρρόη) (Kallirróē). So, he was known as the Trojan prince.

One day Zeus turned into an eagle and abducted Ganymede. After this the young man began to live on Mount Olympus.

There are many arts about this legend.

Tales from childhood: My son.

Hello, people! This is Mr. H. speaking. My son likes different sport games. He has a competition very soon.

"Remember, son, the main thing isn't winning, but participating." I told my son this and patted him on the shoulder.

"Yes, dad, that's exactly it. There's no need to worry about it." he said.

On the day of the competition, I was sitting in the spectators with my wife. We came to support our son.

"Come on, you can do it!" we shouted as our son confidently ran towards the goal with the ball.

My son took an honorable second place and I'm proud him!

"Well done!" my wife said with a smile.

"Thank you Mom and dad! The result is good!" my son said gladly.

Golden Age.

The Golden Age (χρυσή εποχή ) (chrysí epokhí) means the best time of humanity. Perhaps it was so in the past or it will be so in the future.

These words come from Ancient Greece. In Greek mythology there are five ages of humanity (χρύσεον γένος) (chrýseon génos): Gold, Silver, Bronze, Heroic, and Iron.

Also, other myths and legends have their own Golden Age.

Writers wrote books about it, and artists drew images.

Sometimes the Golden Age is called the dawn of civilization.

This is actually a utopia.

“I don’t believe one reads to escape reality. A person reads to confirm a reality he knows is there, but which he has not experienced.”

“It takes a lot of energy and a lot of neurosis to write a novel. If you were really sensible, you'd do something else.”

“There is no pain compared to that of loving a woman who makes her body accessible to one and yet who is incapable of delivering her true self -- because she does not know where to find it.”
