                                                   "The Wild Swans" by Hans Christian Andersen.

Once upon a time there was a king with his twelve children: eleven sons and one daughter.

Their stepmother was an evil witch. She turned her stepsons into swans and made her stepdaughter Elisa ugly.

The swan brothers flew away, and no one recognized their sister.

After some time, Elisa became beautiful again and found her brothers.

Then sister gathered nettles and made shirts from them. This saved eleven brothers.

At the end of the fairy tale, Elisa got married.

Triptolemus.

Triptolemus (Τριπτόλεμος) (Triptólemos), also known as Buzyges (Βουζύγης) (Bouzýgēs) was involved in agriculture in Greek myths and legends.

Oceanus and Gaia (Γαῖα) (Gaîa), or Celeus (Κελεός) (Keleós) and Metanita (Μετάνειρα ) (Metáneira), or Polyhymnia were his parents. Orpheus (Ὀρφεύς), Demophon (Δημοφῶν) (Δημοφόων), and Callidice (Καλλιδίκη) (Kallidíkē) were brothers and sister of Triptolemus.

He met with Demeter (Δημήτηρ) (Dēmḗtēr) and Persephone (Περσεφόνη) (Persephónē).

Iaso.

Iaso (Ἰησώ) (Iēsō) was one of the goddesses of medicine in Greek myths and legends. Asclepius and Epione were her parents.

Panacea, Hygieia, Aceso, and Aegle were Iaso's sisters. Machaon, Telesphorus (Τελεσφόρος) (Telesphoros), and Podalirius were her brothers.

There are different stories about Iaso.

Panacea.

Panacea (Πανάκεια) was a goddess of healing in Greek mythology. Asclepius (Ἀσκληπιός) (Aesculapius) was her father and Epione (Ἠπιόνη) (Ēpiónē) her mother.

Machaon (Μαχάων) (Macháōn) and Podalirius (Ποδαλείριος) were Panacea's brothers. Hygieia (Ὑγιεία) (Hygēa), Iaso (Ἰασώ), and Aceso (Ἀκεσώ) (Akesó) were her sisters.

Panacea had the ability to transform ordinary plants into medicines. She and her father Asclepius helped warriors during battles.

The word "panacea" figuratively means "a cure for all diseases".

Castor and Pollux.

Castor (Κάστωρ) and Pollux (Πολυδεύκης) were twin brothers in Greek mythology. Also, they were called Dioscuri (Διόσκοροι, Διόσκουροι).

Leda (Λήδα) was Castor's and Pollux's mother. Tyndareus (Τυνδάρεος) (Tundáreōs) was Castor's father. Zeus was Pollux's father.

Timandra (Τιμάνδρα), Clytemnestra (Κλυταιμνήστρα) (Klutaimnḗstra), Helen of Sparta, Philonoe (Φιλονόη), and Phoebe (Φοίβη) (Phoíbē) were Dioscuri siblings.

These brothers were on the expedition of the Argonauts.

Castor and Pollux saved their sister Helen (Ἑλένη) (Helénē) of Troy.

There are different stories about Dioscuri.

This is a fantasy novel. Jonatan and Karl are brothers. Karl had an ill.

After death they go to Nangijala. There the boys have different adventures. They meet with other people in this place.

Once upon a time there were two brothers. The elder brother was brave. The younger was silent. He read books.

The elder brother flew with the star, but later return to his room.

Amphion and Zethus.

Amphion (Ἀμφίων) and Zethus (Ζήθος) were twin brothers, in Greek mythology. Their parents were Zeus and Antiope (Ἀντιόπη). The twin brothers were raised by shepherd.

Amphion was a king of Thebes. Also, he played the lyre. Amphion met with other gods and goddesses, such as: Hermes, Apollo, Artemis, and etc. He married Niobe (Νιόβη) and they had children.

Zethus, Amphion's twin brother, was a hunter. He married Aёdon (Ἀηδών) and had children.

There are myths and legends about Amphion and Zethus.

Aloadae.

Aloadae or Aloads (Ἀλωάδαι) (Aloadai) were twin brothers in Greek myths and legends. Their names were Otus (Otos) (Ὦτος) and Ephialtes (Ἐφιάλτης). Poseidon or Aloeus (Αλωέας) was Aloadae father; Iphimedeia (Ἰφιμέδεια) was their mother.

Otus (Otos) and Ephialtes were giants.

The Aloadae visited different places, including Mount Olympus.

Otus (Otos) and Ephialtes met other gods and goddesses, such as: Ares, Artemis, Hera, and etc.

There are stories in Greek mythology about these characters.

                                       "The Twelve Brothers" by the Brothers Grimm.

Once upon a time there were a husband and wife, who were a king and Queen. They had twelve sons.

The king decided if his wife gives birth to a daughter, then all the boys must die.

The queen told the youngest son Benjamin, that he and his brothers would go to the forest to live.

Then the boys had a sister and they stayed to live in the forest.

Several years later the girl knew about her twelve brothers. Mother said that she didn't know where they were.

The sister found her brothers' house in the forest. Everyone was happy with this meeting.

Once a sister picked twelve lilies in the garden, and her twelve brothers turned into twelve ravens.

To save her brothers, the sister didn't say a word or laugh for seven years.

During this time, she married the king. His stepmother wanted to kill her. But the brothers saved their sister.

                                   The Six Bullerby Children by Astrid Lindgren.

In Swedish little village there are three houses. Here children live with their parents. There are only six children.

Lisa is a character and narrator. She tells about different life moments and adventures.

Lisa has two older brothers named Lasse and Bosse. Also, in the village, there are two sisters Britta and Anna. And boy Olle and his younger sister Kerstin.

Romulus and Remus.

Romulus and Remus (Romulus et Remus) were twin brothers in Roman myths and legends. Their parents were the god Mars and Rhea Silvia.

Romulus and Remus were abandoned as babies and fed by a she-wolf. Then they were picked up and raised by shepherd named Faustulus.

The brothers had plans together.

Romulus killed Remus because he interfered with his work. Romulus built the country himself. "Rome" was named after Romulus.

So, they founded home.

Pallas.

 Pallas (Πάλλας) was a Titan on Greek mythology. He was a god of battle. His father was a Titan Crius (Κρεῖος). His mother was Titaness Eurybia (Εὐρυβία).

Also, Pallas had brothers, Astraeus (Ἀστραῖος) and Perses (Πέρσης). His wife was Styx (Στύξ). 

Pallas had several children, such as: Zelus (Ζῆλος,), Nike (Νίκη), Bia (Βία), Kratos (Κράτος), and Pallantides (Παλλαντίδαι).

Writers wrote about Pallas myths and legends.

Literature. Part seventy.

                                                  "The Golden Goose" by the Brothers Grimm.

Once upon a time there was a man. He had three sons. The eldest and the middle sons were clever. The youngest had a nickname Dummling. Because he was a stupid person.

His brothers visited a forest. Their mother gave them some food and beverage. The eldest brother met an old man in the forest. This person asked him for some food and beverage for him. But the eldest brother refused him. He had an unlucky situation in this visit.

Later the second son visited the forest. He had some food and beverage, too. Middle brother met the old man. He asked him for some food and beverage. But Dummling's brother refused the old man. He had an unlucky situation, as well.

When the youngest brother visited the forest he met the old man, too. Dummling gave some food and beverage  to him.

Later he found the golden goose in the forest. The old man helped Dummling with it.

With this treasure he went to the hotel. In that place Dummling met three sisters. They all touched the golden goosed. As a result hotel master's daughters stuck to him. 

Dummling went with them. On the way several men added to them.

They all went to the city. King wanted to listen to his daughter's laugh. If a person can make her laugh, he can marry her. When she saw the golden goose and people around him she laughed.

The king came up with different tasks for Dummling. The old man helped him.

So, Dummling got married and inherited the throne.
