Tales from childhood: Different sides of person.

On that day Sophie's teacher didn't visit the school. So, the lesson was taught by another teacher. She worked there for many years.

The children had to learn the verse at home and recite it at school.

"Students, let's read the verse!" the older teacher said and looked at Kate.

"Come on, you answer." the teacher said.

"I didn't learn the verse." Kate said.

"Badly." the teacher said.

"Can you answer your homework?" the older teacher said and looked at Anne.

"I forgot about my homework." Anne said as she lowered her eyes.

Sophie and some of the other students recited the verse well or not.

The next day, the teacher and students discussed what happened.

"Those who didn't prepare their homework showed themselves on the bad side. Because this teacher has been working in our school for many years. Anne's brother is in tenth grade. She knows him. Some of your parents studied here, too." the teacher said.

After these words, many children really thought.

 "You can hear people around. But you must have your own opinion. Always." Sophie's mother said.

One day children talked about their old things. Somebody played with them, somebody just admired.

"I like my old dollhouse," Sophie said.

"It's strange! I prefer new toys!" Kate said.

It just seemed strange to that girl. She liked fashionable things.

Little Sophie didn't change her mind. She had her own point of view. Sophie valued her old dollhouse.

It was a very beautiful toy! Looked like a Medieval castle. Many different dolls lived there. Sophie created interesting stories about this place.

She felt that she lived with her characters in that castle.

Tales from childhood: Our choice.

 Little Sophie had several friends and toys. She could change her opinion about them.

Several years ago Sophie liked playing with Kate. It was during elementary school. When Kate went to another school, Sophie found new friends. Also, she noticed that she doesn't miss Kate.

"All we have different opinions," said Sophie's mother.

Little Sophie changed her own opinion on many things. Before the first grade she liked chocolate cake with cherries. But then Sophie liked cake with strawberry.

She forgot about some classmates. Maybe they didn't want to be friends with Sophie. Her best friends were Natalie and Johnny.

Sophie liked Mr. Theodor's son. She trusted only him. The other children didn't inspire confidence in her.

Lara's father made his choice, too. But no one could understand why he did this. Perhaps the man had a stranger love for this good and kind woman.

Tales fron childhood: An honest judge.

Sophie saw how Anne cried. It was a simple day in the classroom. Kate and Anne had a conflict between each other.

Teacher said that they must decide it at the end of the school day. Little Sophie didn't know about the conflict.

So, on the fifth lesson they talked with the girls. It turns out was because pen with bright stones. Children didn't know whose thing it was. It was Anne's pen.

School teacher talked with children about calm problem solving.

Tales from childhood: Growing up.

What does it mean to be an adult? Little Sophie often asked herself that question. Anne and Kate had their own opinion about it. They said that big girls wear many braclets and necklaces. Sophie thought about it.

Granny said that it means when you helped at home.

So, Sophie remembered these words. She thought about her deals and helped at home.

Tales from childhood: Safety, safety, safety!

Anne, Kate, and Sophie liked roller skating very much. Girls skate on roller sketers after school. But children often forgot about helmet and other protective things.

Kate fell and hit her head. She started crying. Anne run away for adults, Sophie stayed with her hurted friend.

Right here appeared Anne and Kate's mother. They took the child to the doctor. In the hospital the wound was treated. Also, nurse and Kate's mother reminded her about helmet.

So, Anne, Kate, and Sophie always wore helmet and other protective things, if they go roller skating.

Tales from childhood: Friends and classmates.

Johnny had an illness. He didn't appear in the classroom. Several days later scool teacher called Johnny's father. Mr. Theodor said that he was ill. His school teacher wished him health.

Sophie remembered that people should help those who are ill. She offered Kate to go to Johnny after classes. And wish him recovery.

Girls visited their friend and said good words to Johnny. Little Sophie and her classmate were very proud of themselves. Mr. Theodor was glad, too. His son had good friends.

Ten days later Johnny got rid of cold and came to school.

Tales from childhood: Proud for friends.

In school, sports games will soon begin. Sophie will participate in her 1-"A" grade. Other pupils worried and trained before sport games.

Little children must run very fast and catch a ball. If class wins, teacher gives big presents to all.

Sophie played with another girl from 1-"B" grade. Kate very tried despite the fact she was weak during physical education.

During boys competition, Johnny fell on the floor. Children in 1"A" grade and their teacher loudly supported him. The whole gym heard it. So, boy got up and became a leader.

At the end 1-"A" grade wins these sport games. Sophie was very happy about this event in her school year. In the classroom they had big golden cup. Every child in Sophie's grade received their own awards; medals and acclaiming lists.

Also, boys and girls had a party with tea, juices, pies, cookies, and chocolate sweets. Sophie all time felt proud for her classmates.

It was the celebration for the whole class, teacher and pupils alike.

Tales from childhood: Someone worth admiring.

Sophie's classmate Kate had a lot of "simple" things. Girl often bragged. So, Sophie and other children in the class were envied to Kate's.

She said about her future professions model and actress. Also, Kate travelled to big city on each holiday and visited concerts of modern celebrities. After elementary school, she wanted to live in big city and study in "super" school. Kate read a lot of modern fashion magazines and remembered quotes.

One day Sophie's granny said that Kate is an "empty" girl. She hasn't needed and important interests. There are people who have important goals.

For example, Johnny's sister Beth. She studies in middle school, after high school, Beth going to the medical college because she wants to become a nurse. Beth's future profession is needed and demanded.

Mr. Theodor travelled in different places with his children, such as: fishing, forest, camping, theatre, museum, and etc. Also, Johnny and Beth visited their grandmother in village. Mr. Theodor and his children care for old woman.

Sophie thought about granny's words during all evening. What did grandmother mean?

Next day Kate again bragged about her walking in big city, expensive presents, and concert of modern singer. Sophie didn't envy to classmate.

Little girl asked Johnny about Beth. They met after classes. Johnny's sister said that she wants to become a nurse because she will care and help for people. Her father and brother support Beth. Sophie, Johnny, and Beth visited museum and knew about knights.

Sophie understood that there are many people with very different interests. So, we must choice among and admire them.

Tales about childhood: A dangerous trek.

(This is my own short story).

Once in early spring tree girls, classmates from elementary school decided to go to the river after classes. Sophie, Kate, and Anne are made in good relations, girls are best friends. It's proposed to Kate, Anne supported, Sophie hesitated but after agreed.

When children arrived to the river girls saw thin ice. Kate stood on the ice. Then Anne joined her friend.

Only Sophie stood on the bank. Little girl seriously pondered her act. But sudden... Anne's feet were in the cold water. Kate stopped jumping and fell. Anne was already waist-deep in the river and crying.

At this moment Sophie was in panic. She didn't know what to do. Several seconds later girl cried "Help!".

Simple man responded to the children's cries and saved them.

When the girls returned home their families scolded them. So Sophie, Kate, and Anne will remember this day for the rest of their life.
