Tales from childhood: Surprise.

"It's very cold now! So, you need to dress warmly." my granny said.

Yes, the weather is really cold this year. There is still a lot of snow everywhere. This is perfect for the holidays.

I went outside wearing several sweaters, a hat, boots, and a fur coat. I like Christmas!

"Good morning Sophie!" my friend Natalie said.

"Hi!" I said with a smile.

"I heard that a girl named Angela woke up in the hospital after a long sleep. Last year, that's exactly what I wished for." Natalie said.

"I want to meet her," I asked Natalie.

Then we went to the hospital and saw a teenage girl who was sleeping a lot. We used to visit Angela.

The girl sat in bed and talked to the doctor. It was a real gift for us.

Sky of our planet.

The sky is the space above the surface of the Earth. The sky is blue; there are also clouds, rain, snow, rainbow in it.

During sunset the sky becomes horizontal pink and later dark. Also, there are the stars and/or the Moon.

The sky is blue color during the day.

Weather.

Weather can be very different. Sunny, rain, blue sky, and etc.

If in Northern Hemisphere snow and cold, in Southern Hemisphere sun and hot. This often happens.

Winter mood.

 

Tales from childhood: Cold and warm.

Mother and granny decided to celebrate Christmas in their village. They have their own house. During the holiday the weather was cold. Snow and ice were on the street.

Sophie and her grandmother waited for guests at their Christmas dinner. Christmas Eve is an important holiday. When Caroline appeared in the house Sophie was very glad. She arrived with her mother.

It was cold in the house but granny chopped wood for the fireplace. Mother cooked Christmas dinner for all.

Sophie and Caroline had a nice free time. Girls played with each other. The TV showed holiday movies and cartoons.

During the dinner little Sophie felt that the house got warmer. Logs burned in the fireplace. The weather still wintery outside.

Tales from childhood: Good deeds.

It was a simple winter evening. Sophie was reading fairy tales in her comfortable room. Grandmother was knitting socks for her granddaughters. Snowfall became very strong and temperature fell to -15 C (5 F).

Next day little Sophie and granny decided to walk because the sky was blue. But... roads became very slippery.

Suddenly girl and old woman saw that somebody laid on the slippery ice. Middle-aged woman slipped and fell on the way.

So, grandmother understood that this person needs a doctor. Ambulance appeared several minutes later. Sophie helped woman, too. She gave her a hand with granny.

Two weeks later, in Sophie's school, a woman came from the road. She said a lot of thanks words to teacher and Sophie. All classmates were glad that children can help, too.

Also, woman's injuries almost healed.

Winter is white season
Around there are ground and
Clean snow.
Breeze and freeze are often appear.

After cold months.
Arrives warm season
Name spring, time of
Colorful flowers and trees.

Summer sun shines for all.
Students and pupils have long holidays.
People from big cities trave to South places
And swim in the sea.

September, October, and November
Are part of the year
Fall called the last season,
Yellow leaves, grey sky, long rains there are.

Christmas.

Christmas is a very important holiday. On this day, many families around the world celebrate winter holiday. Children get gifts from Santa Claus, watch intersting movies and cartoons on TV, eat tasty food for example, ginger bread cookies.

At the end of December, a week before New Year, from 25th to 26th December many Christmas figures and symbols appear in shops.

If there are snow on the strret then it gives a holiday mood! Hot chocolate with marshmallow is one of the most popular beverages.

Tales from childhood: Walking in the yard.

One winter Sunday morning little Sophie and her granny decided to go to the yard with their dog. There was: blue sky, bright sun, frost, and a lot of white snow all around.

Sophie met her friends in the yard. Girl's grandmother met another old woman. She was old, alone person and age was already high. Also she had a bad mood on that day. Several minutes later their puppy barked to old woman. Suddenly she yelled at Sophie's grandmother and dog. But granny didn't pay any attention to her.

After old woman told everyone that she go to the shop because even a dog wasn't pleased to her.

Why do I like winter?

I like this cold season because weather is shine. Sun is bright but not warm. Clear and white snow lies on the road, roofs, and trees. It's look so beautiful!

We must wear many warm clothes. Sometimes so pleasure feel how scarf "hug" you in cold weather.

Also freeze draws magic pictures on the windows. Steam comes out of our mouths.

Christmas and New Year are the main holidays of the season. After follow St. Valentine's Day.

This things make winter very good!
