Subjectivity.

Subjectivity is something that relates to the thoughts of a specific person.

Some people simply express their opinion about a subject and give it a rating. However, points of view may differ.

Objectivity is the opposite of subjectivity. These are different philosophical ideas.

Leucippus was a teacher of Democritus. They studied atomism.




Nature was his main interest.

Democritus died in c. 370 BC.

Atlantis.

Atlantis (Ἀτλαντὶς νῆσος) (Atlantìs nêsos) means 'island of Atlas'. This place was called after the Titan (Τιτᾶνες) (Titán) Atlas (Ἄτλας) (Átlās).

Atlantis was a fictional island country. There are many different myths and legends about this island.

Scientists in different periods of history wrote about Atlantis. The ancient Greek philosopher Plato (Πλάτων) (Plátōn) was one of them.

Immanuel Kant was a German philosopher. He was born on April 22, 1724, in Prussia. Kant’s parents were Johann Georg Kant and Anna Regina Reuter.

His interests were: ethics, metaphysics, cosmogony, and epistemology.



Immanuel Kant studied in university.




He influenced many different philosophers.

Kant died on February 12, 1804, in Prussia.

Arthur Schopenhauer studied in several universities.

 Socrates (Σωκράτης) was a philosopher in Ancient Greece. He was born in 470 B. C., in Athens. His parents were Sophroniscus and Phaenarete.

Socrates studied ethics, too. His era was Ancient Greek philosophy. Plato (Πλάτων), Xenophon (Ξενοφῶν), and Aristippus (Ἀρίστιππος) were students of Socrates. 

Philosopher had his own ideas, such as: Socratic paradox, Socratic method, Socratic dialogue, and etc.

Socrates had wife and children.

He died in 399 B. C. in Athens.

Logic.

 Logic (λογική) is a science about rules and arguments. It means "mind" in Ancient Greek language. 

Also, logic is a part of other sciences, such as: mathematics and philosophy. Many scientists study logic.

There are different logical paradoxes. This is when contradictions in meaning meet each other.

In logic, reasoning and facts are important. Everything must be provable. On this can form a personal opinion.

The science has a long and interesting history.

Logic helps to analyze and do conclusions. It happens to be necessary in different life situations.
