Tales from chilldhood: Father.

Mr. Theodor was strict but fair. He raised children alone. The father worked hard for Beth and Johnny.

Sophie's father left the family many years ago. Mother and grandmother never talked about it. Little Sophie wasn't interested in this, too. But Mr. Theodor was a good example for the girl.

"Is Mr. Theodor a good father?" asked Sophie.

"Yes, of course," answered mother.

Lara's father lived not far from his daughter. Natalie often noticed him in the shops and parks. No oneknew why he wasn't talking with his child. Natalie thought it was weird.

Tales from childhood: Choose a profession.

Beth had a kind heart. Also, she was a sociable person. The girl could listen to people and supported them if needed.

Teachers in school advised to study for a profession where she could chat with people. Beth listened this.

Beth decided to go to the medical college. She remembered about poor and sick children in her yard. Beth and Johnny knew a little boy who had a weak health. Young girl often felt sorry for him.

Mr. Theodor was sure that his daughter made a right choice. He knew that Beth will be a good student at medical college.

Pegasus.

Pegasus was a horse with wings in Ancient Greece. His parents were Poseidon and Gordon Medusa. Also, creature had a brother named Chrysaor.

Hero Bellerophon rode Pegasus while fighting with Chimera.

Muses liked this mythical creature. Pegasus had relationships with many gods and goddesses, such as: Athena, Apollo, Zeus, and Perseus.

The two-winged horse helped Zeus. Pegasus brought him thunder and lightning from Hephaestus.

There are many painting and statues of this mythical animal. Also, there is constellation named Pegasus.

Great people: Hans Christian Andersen.

Hans Christian Andersen was born on April 2, 1805, in Kingdom Denmark-Norway. Future writer was the only child.

Andersen created many famous fairy tales, such as: "Thumbelina" (1835), "The Ugly Duckling" (1843), "The Emperor's New Clothes" (1837), "The Snow Queen" (1844), "The Little Mermaid" (1837), and etc. These works were translated to many languages. Artists drew illustrations with the characters.

Also, there are many movies and cartoons about Andersen's fairy tales.

Hans Christian Andersen died on August 4, 1875, in Kingdom of Denmark.

Literature. Part fifty four.

                                                  Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

This novel was written at the end of XVIII century, but the book was published on January 28, 1813.

There are many characters in this story. Elizabeth Bennet, Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, Mr. Bennet, Jane Bennet are main characters in the novel.

Relationships between sisters, love, and disdain are described in Pride and Prejudice. Also, characters have different problems and emotions. Their parents are important, too.

At the end main characters are married and happy.

There are many illustrations and movies about this story. Famous book was translated many languages.
