Little Sophie started cleaning her room. Suddenly she remembered about her granny and mother. Child decided to buy a book for her Mom. Sophie knew about mother's tastes in literature. For grandmother child bought a knitting set.

Sophie got money for help her mother. Mom and granny were happy!

Gorgons.

Gorgons were monsters from the Greek mythology. Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa were Gorgons sisters. Hero Perseus fought with the Medusa. Their parents were Phorcys and Ceto.

Creatures were described as: women with living snakes as their hair. Also, monsters sight could turn to the stone somebody who look at the Gorgons.

There are many paintings and statues about these creatures. Myths and legends are still popular.

Cartoon is a type of modern art. Illustrations and animation are important for it. Alsom cartoons can be drawn by artists oe animators.

This thing begun to develop in XIX and XX centuries. Pictures move and talk in cartoon. Sometimes in cartoons, puppets are used.

Plot is an important of work. Screenwriters write a script for cartoons. Or the famous fairy tale turns into an animation.

In cartoons, different genres are popular, such as: comedy, tragedy, fantasy, drama, and ect. Cartoons can be improved, in the modern world.

Inca Empire.

This civilization was situated in South America. Also, Inca Empire was the biggest country in pre-Columbian America. About XI-XVI centuries people had their own laws and rules.

The Inca called their country as Tawantinsuyu in Quechua language. Timeline of Inca Empire: The Inca tribe founded the city of Cuzco (1200 A. D.), people lived in the city of Cuzco (1200-1400 A. D.), Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui became the leader of Inca, he built the city of Machu Picchu (1438 A. D.), Pachacuti's son, named Tupac Inca Yupanui, became an emperor (1471 A. D.), Emperor Tupac won the Chuma Empire and their lands (1476 A. D.), Tupac's son, Huayna Capac, became an emperor (1493 A. D.).

Empire had its own army, religion, architecture, mythology, languages, economy, and government.

Some of it is still studied by historians.

Fantasy.

Fantasy is an unusual genre of literature. Science fiction and fairy tale are included in it. Also, fantasy is used in other types of arts such as: movies, cartoons, paintings.

People and magical creatures are main characters in fantasy. They can talk to each other. Good and bad are important for plot of this genre.

Characters from folklore and mythology often appear in fantasy books. Fairies, dwarves, unicorns, mermaids, dragons, and etc. Sometimes this literary genre contains horror elements.

Utopian ans dystopian fiction are popular among writers. Somebody thinks about an "ideal world in the future". Or conversely discribes bad parts of the world. For example, 1984 by George Orwell.

Famous genre fantasy used in games, by modern artists, and designers.

Zeus.

Zeus was the main god in Greek mythology. He had a lot of relations with other god and goddesses. Heracles and Perseus were Zeus's sons, but their mothers were people.

He was the god of sky. Zeus was born on Crete island, Mount Ida. His parents were Cronus and Rhea. Zeus had his personal symbols: Thunderbolt, bull, oak, and eagle.

There are many paintings and sculptures about Zeus. He did important things. Zeus's place was on Mount Olympus. The God ruled there.

Great people: Albert Einstein.

Albert Einstein was born on March 14, 1879, in German Empire. His parents were Hermann Einstein and Paulone Koch. Also, Albert had a younger sister Maja.

Since early childhood Einstein was interested in science and books. He studied in different countries including Switzerland and Czechoslovak Republic.

Young scientinst was interested in many sciences, but especially in physics. Albert Einstein studied this subject very deeply. So, he discovered a general theory of relativity. It was very important for modern physics.

Einstein was married two times and had three children. The scientist studied different things and received many awards. Including Nobel Prize of Physics (1921).

Albert Einstein died on April 18, 1955, in New Jersey, the USA.

Literature. Part thirty eight.

                                   The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

Dorothy and her dog Toto appeared in the magical place. During cyclone they were inside the house that was swept away. Toto could talk in the Land of Oz. Also, Dorothy had the silver shoes.

Frineds wanted to go home. Dorothy and Toto had to go Emerald City. On the way they met a Scarecrow. Dorothy, Toto, and Scarecrow went to the Wizard of Oz. Afterwards, friends met Tin Woodman and the Cowardly Lion.

Each of them had own wishes: Dorothy and Toto wanted to return home, Scarecrow wanted to have a brain, Tin Woodman wanted to have a heart, Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave.

During the novel characters appeared in different magical lands. They met kind and evil wizards and witches. Also, creatures helped each other in hard situations.

At the end they arrived to Emerald City. After adventures their wishes became true.

There are many illustrations, cartoons, and movies about this book. Students study the novel in school. Famous work was translated in many languages. Even written continuations.

Recipe of homemade pies with mascarpone.

Ingredients:

Cookie dough-500 g
Flour-3 table spoon
Mascarpone-300 g
Sugar-1 cup (200 g)
Salt-pinch
Egg whites-2
Baking soda-1 tea spoon

Make a cookie dough with two egg yolks.

Make a round balls from dough.

Mix in one bowl: mascarpone, sugar, sour cream, egg whites, salt, and flour. 

Lay mascarpone mix in round cookie dough.

Warm up oven 425 F (218 C). Bake pies with mascarpone 400 F (204 C) about 20-30 minutes.
